The book tour for Mr. Penny-Farthing concluded on Feb. 16, ending a month of interviews, reviews, and spotlight features by several book blogs. Thank you to all of the bloggers who participated and gave Mr. Penny-Farthing additional exposure. Thanks also to RABT Book Tours & PR for handling the logistics and organizing the virtual book tour.
It’s a paltry drop in the bucket, but I appreciate it.
Marketing your work is hard. There are so many books out there, vying for attention, and only a few seem to get noticed. If you’re an indie writer like me, you might as well be invisible. Getting readers is tough, but getting book reviews is nearly impossible. If you read a book and like it enough to post a review online, I salute you. As for me, I’ll keep plugging away, toiling in obscurity and hoping the next thing I write will generate interest.
For those who took the time to review Mr. Penny-Farthing, I thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed my little demon hunting book.

Short Stories in the Works
I’m currently writing two story stories for submission; one fantasy, the other horror. I hope to complete these by the end of the month. I hardly ever get to write short fiction due to my novel writing commitments, but February proved somewhat open, and I was able to squeeze in a few short stories. I haven’t written short stories in a long time, and this latest project made me realize how much I adore crafting shorter works. With any luck they’ll be published, but even if they’re not, I’ll still submit them to other anthologies.
The Ocean Hugs Hard is in Production
My sunshiner noir mixed with cosmic horror novel, The Ocean Hugs Hard, is undergoing edits. I received feedback from the publisher and will send it through a few rounds of editing that’ll take me into May. The developmental editor will review the manuscript in March and April, so there’s plenty of time for last minute changes.
I can’t believe my fourth novel will soon be out in the world. More than any other book, The Ocean Hugs Hard is the one that holds enormous meaning for me. It’s my love letter to Lovecraftian horror and my poison pen letter to local journalism. Having been a working reporter for a small newspaper in a seaside resort, I’m using my personal experience as a template, so this is the most personal thing I’ve written. I hope I can do this sucker justice.
