I received an email last night notifying me that Mr. Penny-Farthing was named a finalist in the 2024 Next Generation Indie Book Awards in the Suspence category! If you follow this blog, you’ll note that last year my debut novel Accursed Son received a similar honor and I’m suitably chuffed by this.
Mr, Penny-Farthing is book 2 of The Martyr’s Vow series, and pits Armand and Vonnie against a shadowy drifter named Mr. Penny-Farthing who tasks them with finding the spirit of a serial killer.
It has demons, occult magic, tacos, and plenty of suspenseful moments. Once again, I’m thrilled that my little demony book received some love.
THE OCEAN HUGS HARD IS COMING
My latest horror/mystery novel, The Ocean Hugs Hard, is with my pubisher and on track for a June 24 release. Preorders and cover reveal are scheduled for May 24. The briny hellmouth of the deep is so close you can practically taste it. I just saw the full cover and it’s reminscent of H.P. Lovecraft’s mythos. Cover artist Gregory Chapman executed the design perfectly. I can’t wait to share it with you…but wait we must, at least for another week!
I’m planning a giveaway for The Ocean Hugs Hard in June or July. Custom bookmarks were ordered, plans were drawn up, and schemes were hatched. Needless to say, it involves me giving away signed copies of the book and maybe a few boardwalk-themed treats.
