My cozy fantasy tale, TRY THE UNICORN, appears in Issue #2 of Quills & Tales Magazine! It’s Anthony Bourdain meets Terry Pratchett with food, writing, and unrealized dreams:
A food critic accustomed to safe reviews gets more than he bargained for when Chef Oleg serves him unicorn steak, an enchanted meal that shows him all the paths his life could’ve taken. Now inspired, he quits his desk job to chase real adventures beyond the city’s walls.

Sumer is icumen in
Summer is upon us, and with it the notorious summertime writing projects. While the hot and sunny weather makes writing brutal (even with air conditioning), I have been writing diligently. Several projects occupy my time, including a new novella and a few short stories.
The fourth and final novel in the Martyr’s Vow Series, THE BOOK OF WINE AND SORROW, is wending its way through edits. The preliminary cover illustration really floored me and touches upon ancient Armenian mythology and legends present throughout the series. The cover reveal will most likely be in November, when preorders go live. Until then, I’ll promote the book the best I can. Buckle up. It’s going to be a hellacious ride through Armenia searching for a powerful weapon.
THE BOOK OF WINE AND SORROW explores culture, family, and corruption with one of the sickest villains I’ve written, a twisted oligarch who can invade his victim’s minds. Part pulpy adventure, part psychological horror, the novel is the perfect ending for protagonist Armand Tarkanian, who discovers the terrible meaning of self-sacrifice. Until next time, enjoy the oppressive summer heat and stay cool.
