Summer is winding down, the leaves started falling, and the pumpkin spice wagon is making its rounds. I started teaching my English composition classes and am slowly making a dent in my TBR pile while crunching an apple like the impish professor I am.
That means autumn is around the corner! Writing-wise, It was a busy summer with three short story acceptances. The latest story – LET THEM REST – will be published in the upcoming anthology More Monsters Next Door by Critical Blast. I can’t wait to introduce readers to Lashley’s Home for Geriatric Monsters.
In other publishnig news, my story KINDNESS IS THE RAREST THING, will be part of a hopepunk anthology called Interesting Times. If you’re able, please support the Kickstarter to bring this book by End of the World Publishing to life. They’re in the home stretch and your help could push it over the top.
The fourth and final book in The Martyr’s Vow series, THE BOOK OF WINE & SORROW, is undergoing edits and beta reads now. I’ll get the draft back in October for another round of editing and rewriting. It’s been a slog, but there’s light at the end of the tunnel. I promise to actually promote this book. I’m horrible at promotions, but not with this one. The cover art is finished, with the talented Claire Leslie knocking the design out of the park. I think you’ll like it. A cover reveal is scheduled for November, along with preorders.
New publishing opportunities lurk on the horizon. More details as I get them. That’s all. Be good, and if you can’t be good, have fun.
